You Can Teach Yourself Insurance Using This E-Learning Program

People in Indonesia still don’t consider insurance as one of its basic needs.  Even though insurance awareness has been growing significantly since the presence of BPJS health insurance, there are still so many interesting parts of the insurance remain in the dark to people in general.  Hence,  there’s now e-learning focusing on it where you can teach yourself  insurance. Evrything about insurance you can learn yourself.

What insurance e-learning is? It is an independent learning module about the industry.  Using this people can learn anything about insurance i.e. what are the benefits of insurance,  categorization of insurance in Indonesia,  unit link,  law and insurance and everything related to it.

There’s a high possibility that many of general insurances are still unknown to people,  construction risk insurance for instance,  money remittance insurance,  cash safekeeping insurance,  burglary insurance  and dishonesty insurance. Not to mention social security insurance which most people maybe only know about BPJS which in fact there are still many other insurance institutions in operation namely Asabri,  Taspen and Jasa Raharja.  In this e-learning everything will be explained.  If there’s still something you need to know,  there’s forum for the user to discuss. 

This insurance e-learning which name is IGTC is developed by Indonesian Insurance Board (Dewan Asuransi Indonesia – DAI) with its tag line:

“Educate society for being insurance minded." 

It is accessible through e-igtc.dai.or.id.

Who can access this IGTC e-learning then?  Everyone! Yes,  everyone can access the modules by registering online.  Everyone can access the learning material online after registering to the system.

After registering to the system,  it will ask an email confirmation. Just click the link and you will automatically able to access all the features. To join a course,  we will need to register to each of the course.  Then every related material will be available to download. Mostly they’re in PDF file format. 

If you’re familiar enough with Coursera online learning model then you will find no difficulty using this insurance e-learning module given the similarity between the two. But worry not,  even if you are new to e-learning,  the system provide simplicity and user friendly interface.  There’s also guides to the system!

In every course there’ll be various activities to follow,  there are quizzes,  assignments and chat room as well. Not to mention discussion forum and material resources. In every assignment,  quiz or test,  there’ll be detail schedule and all the details,  i.e. the quiz will be in essays or multiple choice or the likes. If you take the assignments and finish the quizzes then your user report will be excellent. Who knows that you will get a certificate stating that you pass the course. Very interesting,  isn’t it?!
